Boat bottom painting
We’ve bottom painted power boats, sailboats, boats on trailers and brand new boats at local dealers. We can properly bottom paint yours too.
How we do it
- Pressure wash and clean barnacles and moss off the underside of your boat.
- Sand with a random orbital sander to prepare the surface and remove any residue.
- Tape off the waterline and apply a coat of Primacon bottom primer.
- Finish with three coats of Micron 66 antifouling paint, for several years of boating without growth on the bottom.
Materials and hauling
We provide all painting materials, including sandpaper, brushes, rollers, roller frames, paint trays and paint suits, and we can supply the bottom paint. You’re welcome to supply your own, or we can buy it for you with our local marine store discount.
We can haul your boat, provide a place to do the job and put your boat back in the water when it’s finished.
